We keep this short and plain. This page explains what personal data this site keeps, why, for how long and what you can ask of us.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Hama. We are responsible for the personal data described on this page. info@hamaburgers.be
What we keep, and why
Comments. If you leave a comment, we store your name, e-mail address, the website you may have entered, your comment, your IP address and your browser type. Your e-mail address and IP address are never shown. We use them to show your comment and to keep spam and abuse out, and every comment is checked before it appears. You choose to send it, so this is based on your consent. We keep a comment until you ask us to remove it or we take it down.
Accounts. A small number of accounts exist for club members. We create them ourselves; nobody can register on this site. For an account we store a user name, a display name, an e-mail address, a scrambled (hashed) version of the password and whatever the account holder sends while signed in. An account can start without an e-mail address; the member then chooses one at the first sign-in. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in running the club, and we keep the account for as long as the person is a member. Members receive a separate notice with more detail.
My menu. If you collect recipes in “My menu”, the list is kept only in your own browser (local storage). It is not sent to us and we cannot see it. When you download the shopping list, the numbers of the chosen recipes are part of the download address, but nothing that identifies you. Clear your browser data or use “Clear my menu” and the list is gone.
Server logs. Our hosting provider, Easyhost, keeps technical logs of visits (IP address, the page requested, date and time) to keep the server secure and running. We do not use these logs ourselves for anything else.
What we do not do
There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no social media buttons and no profile pictures loaded from other services. The fonts are hosted on this site, so your browser does not contact anyone else when you read a recipe. We do not sell your data.
Who can see your data
Only the people who run this site and our hosting provider, who stores the data for us. We share it with nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we keep about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to hand it over to you in a usable form, and you can object to how we use it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send us a message and we will answer without delay. If you feel we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit) at www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

Changes
If we change how this site handles data, we change this page too.
