About the kitchen

This is a kitchen for people who cook with their hands, share with their neighbours and never trust a recipe that hasn’t been tasted halfway through.

Every dish here has been cooked, tasted, argued about and cooked again. We sort them by mood, because that is how we think about food: fresh and cool when you want something bright, hearty and grounding when you need something to hold on to, hot and bold when the day asks for a little fire, and light and sweet when you feel like something gentle. Pick the mood you are in and follow it.

You will find starters, mains, sides and desserts, and a shelf of teas and drinks, with and without alcohol. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are marked, so nobody at the table has to guess. And yes, there are burgers. With a name like ours, there had to be. Start with The Hamaburger and a pile of Bendy Fries.

How the recipes work

Every recipe lists what you need, gives short numbered steps and ends with a tip from the cook. Each one has a printable card: use the Download recipe button and stick it to the fridge. Only shopping today? Use Download ingredients for a checklist you can tick off in the supermarket. Quantities are metric, spice is always a suggestion, and tea is never optional.

Menus

Some evenings you do not want to choose one dish, you want a whole table. Our menus put a starter, a main, a side, a dessert and a drink together so they belong on the same evening. Download one shopping list for the whole menu, or all its recipes in a single file.

Prefer to plan your own? Press Add to my menu on any recipe, then open My menu to see your dishes by course and download your own shopping list. Your menu stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
